On the Job

The SafeWorkPro system gets your workers on the job quicker, safer and more compliant. Workers are able to complete risk assessments and manage sites all from their phone, with quick online submission to allow for the easy handling of documents.

Risk Assessments

Risk assessments are completed by staff before they start a job. The documents have a consistent design and layout across all the available platforms, allowing workers to fill out the assessments quickly and get back to work. In order to fill out an assessment the staff member has two options: they can use the SafeWork system online in a browser (either mobile or desktop), or they can use the SafeWorkPro app, which is available on both the App Store and Google Play. 
1. Login to your SafeWorkPro instance as instructed in your welcome email. Instructions can be found here.
2. Upon logging in, you will be presented with a list of your current available safety document types. Alternatively, if you are in another section in the app, you can open the documents page using the menu in the top right-hand corner (as pictured below).
3. Select the "Create new Document" button in the top left-hand corner of the screen
4. The new risk assessment document will appear. As it is longer than a standard phone screen, you will be required to scroll to see all of the content.
5. Enter the current Date.
6. Select a Site. If the site you require does not exist, then you will need to create one before you can finish filling out this form. The instructions for creating a site can be found further down the page.
7. Fill out the Description of the job.
8. Select the staff member who is filling out the risk assessment in the Form completed by field.
9. Sign the signature box which appears below the staff selector.
10. Select the Staff who is in charge.
11. Sign in the block below.
12. Fill in zero or more Steps. Steps are used for hazards where there is an available SWMS as the control measure.
    a. Fill in the Job Step, e.g. Install switchboard. 
        Note: As you start to type suggestions will be displayed. Click an appropriate step if it is available.
    b. Fill in the Hazard, e.g. Manual handling
    c. Fill in the Risks, e.g. Injury
    d. Fill in the Risk Rating, e.g. 6
    e. Select a SWMS, e.g. Manual handling
    f. Fill in the Residual Risk Rating, e.g. 3

13. Fill in zero or more General Hazards. Steps are used for hazards where there is an available SWMS as the control measure.
    a. Fill in the Job Step, e.g. Install cabling exterior: Sun.
        Note: As you start to type suggestions will be displayed. Click an appropriate step if it is available.
    b. Fill in the Hazard, e.g. Sun
    c. Fill in the Risks, e.g. Burn dehydration
    d. Fill in the Risk Rating, e.g. 10
    e. Fill in the Controls, e.g. Cream shade prep water
    f. Fill in the Residual Risk Rating, e.g. 3

14. Finally, select all the Staff who are involved in the job. Each staff member will need to sign in the provided signature box.

Sites

If a site is not available for selection when filling out a risk assessment you will need to create a new site. Staff can do this on the job so that managers do not need to pre-fill all sites before job commences.

2. Locate the menu on your device and click Sites.
3. Click the blue banner saying "Create"
4. Fill out the site details and save.
